it still amazes me how many so called "masters" pop up. this seems to be a good example. mind you all out there - i do APPRECIATE every (such as this) effort to make things available, but very, very often the information about lineage is (to say the least) incomplete:

audio part of the well known video ("mind your throat" dvd bootleg shit rip-off).

audience recording - this one comes from a recording done by mike d. he used to work as an engineer for advision studios (main clients were yes and the softs) around the time and took a uher report to the show. the only ever copy (he was never a trader) he made for roy w. who was then married to the softs secretary - that's where i got my 1st cassette copy from in the mid 80's. in the early 00's i managed to stay at his beautiful farm house in norwich (he's a teacher now) and copy his master from reel to dat.

to make things worse, this guy is still sitting on boxes full of yes soundboards he did himself between 75 and 77. all the earlier shows ("yessongs") he simply recorded music/records over - with his "chum" roy.

audience recording with sennheiser mics placed on stage into uher report done by jack henry m. (see 1). this is ahm only (at the moment - the rest still may be in nyc) , but fuxxing brilliant sounding. never managed to get a copy. it's in the hands of a well known hoarder.

so here we go: at best, this is a 4th generation copy. why call it "master" ????
